What They Wanted
The host was throwing a private party at Nixon's Function Centre and wanted the dancefloor packed for around 75 guests on a spring evening. The night was built around a drag performance, so the music had to flow around the show and keep the energy high between acts.
How We Planned It
Before the night, your dedicated event manager gets to work. We talked through the run sheet and the moments that mattered, timed the music precisely around the drag performances and their entrances, and liaised with Nixon's Function Centre on bump-in, power and finish times. We matched the right DJ to the brief and locked everything in during the week of the event so nothing clashed on the night.
What We Delivered
Come event day, we rolled in with the full rig, PA, lighting and wireless mics, loaded in and tested well before anyone walked in. Our DJ mixed 90s/00s and current hits into one seamless set, and our wireless microphones carried the show itself as clearly as the music. We timed the DJ set around the drag performances so the whole night flowed as one continuous show. With around 75 guests in the room, the floor stayed busy from the first song to the last.
