A real Star DJ Hire booking: what the client wanted, and how we made it happen.
What They Wanted
The couple were planning their spring wedding at Audley Dance Hall Cafe and Events, a Sydney venue with a dancefloor built into its name, and needed a DJ and MC who could read the room for around 100 guests. Musically they leaned 90s/00s, current hits and RnB/hip-hop, and they wanted the announcements handled by the same person keeping the music moving.
How We Planned It
Every booking gets its own event manager, and this one was no exception. We talked through the run sheet and the moments that mattered; mapped the key formalities, grand entrance, first dance and speeches; built the timeline around the couple's attached must-play list and noted what stayed off the decks; and liaised with Audley Dance Hall Cafe and Events on bump-in, power and finish times. From our 75-strong roster we matched the right DJ to the brief and locked everything in during the week of the event.
What We Delivered
On the night, we delivered our full DJ package, sound, lighting, wireless microphones and decks, set up and sound-checked before guests arrived, with backup gear on hand just in case. Our DJ mixed 90s/00s, current hits and RnB/hip-hop into one seamless open-format set, doubling as MC to keep the announcements sharp and the energy up between brackets. With around 100 guests in the room, the dancefloor filled early and stayed full right through to the send-off.
