What They Wanted
Strata Community Association needed a corporate DJ for their awards night at Crowne Plaza Adelaide, around 130 guests across a summer evening. Musically they leaned 70s/80s and 90s/00s, crowd-pleasers with plenty of singalong value once the awards were handed out.
How We Planned It
Every booking gets its own event manager, and this one was no exception. We talked through the run sheet and the moments that mattered, with the awards program shaping the timing; and liaised with Crowne Plaza Adelaide on bump-in, power and finish times. The right DJ for the brief was assigned, and every detail, including the must-play requests, was confirmed in the days beforehand.
What We Delivered
Come event day, we rolled in with the full rig, PA, lighting, wireless mics and backup gear, loaded in and sound-checked well before anyone walked in. Our DJ mixed 70s/80s and 90s/00s into one seamless set, holding back through the formalities and opening up once the floor was free. With around 130 guests in the room, the dancefloor filled early and stayed full to the end.
