What They Wanted
The couple were planning their winter wedding at Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre in Brisbane and needed a DJ and MC who could read the room. Musically they leaned RnB/hip-hop, rock classics and house, three very different lanes, so they wanted a DJ who could move between them without the night ever feeling disjointed, and they'd booked an extended set to keep the party going late.
How We Planned It
Before the night, your dedicated event manager gets to work. We talked through the run sheet and the moments that mattered; mapped the key formalities, grand entrance, first dance and speeches; shaped the music plan around their must-play and do-not-play lists; and liaised with Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre on bump-in, power and finish times. Then we matched the open-format DJ best suited to the brief and confirmed the run of the night well in advance.
What We Delivered
On the night, we delivered our full DJ package, sound, lighting, wireless microphones and decks, set up and sound-checked before guests arrived, with backup gear on hand. Our DJ mixed RnB/hip-hop, rock classics and house into one seamless set, shifting gears as the floor asked for it. With the extra hours added on, the party ran long and finished on a high.
