What They Wanted
The couple came to us for a wedding DJ at Hotel Realm, Canberra across a spring evening, and their taste ran wide, from 90s/00s and RnB through to current hits, rock classics and house. They needed seamless cover from the ceremony right through to the reception, with no awkward gaps between the moments.
How We Planned It
This is where our planning process kicks in. Their dedicated event manager talked through the run sheet and the moments that mattered; mapped the key formalities, grand entrance, first dance and speeches; took down their must-play and do-not-play lists; and liaised with Hotel Realm, Canberra on bump-in, power and finish times. The right DJ for the brief was assigned from our 75-strong team, and every detail was confirmed in the days beforehand.
What We Delivered
On the night, we delivered our full DJ package, sound, lighting, wireless microphones and decks, set up and sound-checked well before guests arrived, with backup gear on hand just in case. Our DJ threaded 90s/00s, current hits, RnB/hip-hop and rock classics into one seamless set, saving the house tracks for when the room was ready to push. The floor stayed busy from the first song to the last, and the feedback afterwards said it all.
