A real Star DJ Hire booking: what the client wanted, and how we made it happen.
What They Wanted
For their autumn reception at The Royal Hotel QBN, the couple wanted a DJ who could carry the whole night for around 75 guests, from dinner background through to a proper dancefloor. Musically they leaned 70s/80s, 90s/00s and current hits, with a bit of RnB and rock classics thrown in for good measure.
How We Planned It
Before the night, your dedicated event manager gets to work. We talked through the run sheet and the moments that mattered; mapped the key formalities, grand entrance, first dance and speeches; captured their must-play and do-not-play lists; and liaised with The Royal Hotel QBN on bump-in, power and finish times. Then we matched the DJ best suited to an intimate room from our 75-strong team and confirmed the run of the night well in advance.
What We Delivered
Come event day, we rolled in with the full rig, PA, lighting, wireless mics and backup gear, loaded in and sound-checked well before anyone walked in. Our DJ worked 70s/80s, 90s/00s, current hits and RnB/hip-hop into one seamless set, reading the room and letting the crowd steer the peaks. Travel and logistics to the venue were handled by our team end to end. With around 75 guests in the room, the dancefloor filled early and stayed full to the last song.
